Whether you are just beginning to explore adoption or foster care or you have already begun this life-changing journey, we sincerely hope the resources provided below will be beneficial as you move forward.
At the same time, we recognize that the best resources are often others who have already traveled similar paths – so we hope that you will consider Tapestry and our community of families as available, ongoing resources no matter what your questions or needs may be. Many of us are well acquainted with the unique joys and challenges you will likely encounter. We’re here to encourage and support you in any way possible – so let us know how we can help.

The reality is that foster parents sometimes need a break – just like all other parents. Whether it is for an overnight emergency trip or a weekend get-away, it is important that foster parents have others around them to help care for their foster children during times like these. This is what we call relief care - and it is a great way to serve children in foster care and provide practical support to foster parents.
The Tapestry Relief Care Network is just getting started, but if you are in need of relief care let us know by contacting Amy Monroe at tapestry@irvingbible.org. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Tapestry Relief Care Network to serve children in foster care and provide practical support for foster parents, you can find out more here.
As a community of people who have been touched by the miracle of adoption, Tapestry desires to offer support and resources to birth parents. Read more about Tapestry's support group and resources designed to provide opportunities of hope and healing to birth parents.

Tapestry does not recommend or refer adoption or foster care agencies but we have created some helpful tools to assist you in selecting a domestic/infant, international or foster care/adopt agency. We also maintain a list of agencies that Tapestry families have used or are using. If you have any questions about selecting an agency or just want to talk about this important step in the adoption or foster care journey, contact Amy Monroe at tapestry@irvingbible.org.
